Futuro Persistente, Lda (AMI 21451), trading as Aumakua Real Estate & Investments (“Aumakua”, “we”, “us”), is the data controller for personal information collected through aumakuarei.com and aumakuarei.pt. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Portuguese Law 58/2019.

1. Data we collect

• Contact data you submit through enquiry forms or WhatsApp: name, email, phone, message content, preferred language.
• Property interest: the listing reference, visit preferences, budget signals you choose to share.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, device, pages visited, referrer (via privacy-respecting analytics).

2. Why we use it (legal basis)

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange viewings — performance of pre-contractual steps.
• To comply with real-estate, anti-money-laundering, and tax obligations — legal obligation.
• To improve the website and content — legitimate interest, balanced against your rights.
• To send occasional market updates — only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

3. Sharing

We share data only with: our consultants and notary handling your transaction; hosting and email providers acting as processors under written contract; and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

4. Retention

Enquiry data is kept for up to 24 months after our last interaction. Transaction records are kept for 10 years as required by Portuguese law.

5. Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and object to processing. Email privacy@aumakuarei.pt. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

6. International transfers

Where processors are outside the EEA, transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
